You'd think that becoming an MLA would have slowed this Paralympian down, but you'd be wrong! Today, Michelle Stilwell broke a World Record and won gold in the T52 800m of the 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships with a blisteringly fast time of 2:14.79.

The decorated Paralympian still has two more events to go: the T52 100m on Friday and the T52 200m on Saturday.

While training for the World Championships, Stilwell took time out to talk to CBC about how she balances being an MLA, motherhood (she homeschools son Kai) and the demands of being an elite wheelchair racer. Check out the interview by clicking here.

Congratulations, Michelle! We're all cheering you on back in Canada!
