Get Involved In Wheelchair Floorball
After their successful practice last Sunday, the local wheelchair floorball team is looking to expand. They've added another practice and are still recruiting participants.
Whether you've played wheelchair floorball (also called ball hockey) before or you're a beginner, now's your chance to get involved in this great summer sport. Floorball offers excellent cross-training for athletes of other sports, and is a fun, casual summer workout for beginners.
Here are the details:
Practice #1: Thursday evenings at 6 pm at Queen Elizabeth Park.
Practice #2: Sunday mornings at the North Shore Winter Club (either 10 am or 11 am).
Organizer Adam Frost says that all participants who can push a manual wheelchair are welcome. Please bring your own sports wheelchair, but if you're having trouble finding one let Adam know and he will help you out. Also, please let Adam know you're coming, so that he can ensure that he has enough sticks for everyone. The court is first-come, first-serve, so all players might have to wait for available court space.
If you have any questions, please contact Adam Frost at adam@bcwheelchairsports.com or call/text 778-772-9492.
