Wheelchair Athletics

There are two types of wheelchair athletics offered by BC Wheelchair sports: track and field. Athletics is a great sport for all disabilities, including: paraplegic and quadriplegic spinal cord injuries, amputees, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and orthopedic disabilities. Men, women and juniors are welcome in athletics.

Athletics athletes compete in different classes depending on their level of disability, which allows everyone to compete in a fair manner.

Fun Fact: BC Wheelchair Sports started a throws program just a few years ago and it's now booming! In fact, three of our athletes set national records this year!
